London-based photographer. Grenadian roots.
Over a decade behind the lens.
Photography was never really a choice for Martin. His grandfather's images hang in the National Gallery in Grenada. His uncle was part of the early Photoshop development team. His father was the most sought-after photographer on the island, running the only print lab at the time. Growing up surrounded by that, picking up a camera felt less like a decision and more like an inevitability.
Martin first made his name at the University of Nottingham, where by 2013 he had shot the cover of the UK's top student magazine and become the most in-demand photographer on campus. A shot of lightning over the campus was featured on the BBC Weather website. From there, commissions took him to Ningbo, China, for a major university sports event, and across northern India on a high-profile adventure rally from New Delhi to Kashmir.
Since then, Martin has worked across commercial, editorial and portrait photography. Credits include a content campaign for TUI Lakes and Mountains shot on location at Lake Ohrid in North Macedonia, a spec production for ASOS in East London working alongside a full crew of dancers, stylists and directors, and portrait work featured on BBC News. He has also photographed live events broadcast on national television for ITV. In early 2025, this work came together under a single brand: Martinus Visuals.
Whatever the brief, the instinct is the same: find the real moment before it disappears. Whether that is on a commercial set, in a studio or out on the streets of London, Martin's background in documentary and portrait photography means he is always looking for something honest rather than something staged.
